PlumbBookr ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that connects plumbers and tradespeople with their customers. Our app is available on iOS and Android. Our website is plumbbookr.co.uk.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following types of data when you use PlumbBookr:
- Account information: Email address and password (via Firebase Authentication)
- Business information: Business name, phone number, qualifications, and certifications (for tradesperson accounts)
- Profile photos: If you choose to upload a profile or business logo image
- Job records: Job details, descriptions, and dates you create within the app
- Customer data: Names and contact information of customers you add to the app
- Messages: Messages sent between tradespeople and customers within the app
- Device information: Basic device and usage data collected by Firebase Analytics
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide and improve the PlumbBookr service:
- To create and manage your account
- To enable communication between tradespeople and their customers
- To store and display job records, reminders, and certificates
- To send push notifications about messages and job updates
- To process subscription payments (via Apple App Store or Google Play)
- To improve app performance and diagnose technical issues
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
Access to your data is protected by your account credentials. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access their own data.
5. Third-Party Services
PlumbBookr uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, database, cloud storage, and analytics (Firebase Privacy Policy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing for subscriptions
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications
6. AI Features
PlumbBookr includes an in-app diagnostic chat assistant powered by third-party AI. When you use the chat assistant:
- Your text messages (plumbing-related questions) are sent to an AI provider's API for processing
- No personal identifying information is included in AI requests
- No location data, photos, or sensitive personal information is sent to the AI
- AI interactions are temporary and not permanently stored by PlumbBookr
AI responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
7. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to inform you of new messages, job updates, and reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data within the app
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account)
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your data

9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
PlumbBookr is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting a notice in the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
